Japan's post office sell-off could prove hard to deliver

Yoshihiko Suzuki, a shy 42-year-old, clambers on to his post-office moped painted in standard red and white and begins his daily ascent to the mountains above Nishikawa village in northern Japan.

In the little box secured at the back is the thin bundle of letters he is delivering to dwellings scattered across the neighbouring slopes, even in April still encased in thick snow.
